With its approximately 8 million inhabitants, New York is America's most populous city. The city is located in the State of New York's most southerly corner in the Hudson River Estuary. The city centre consists of the five boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island.

Weather and climate

New York has a varied climate with four seasons. When you book your trip to New York, you should keep in mind that it can be very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. The summer months are June, July and August and they can be very hot. The winter months are from December to February, and temperatures below zero and snow is not uncommon. However, temperatures of minus 10 degrees is uncommon in the city.
